Sandpoint
Description
A sandpoint, also known as a well point or drive point, is a device used to access groundwater in shallow wells. It consists of a perforated pipe with a screen or filter at the bottom. The sandpoint is driven into the ground using a driving tool or driven well point installation method. Once installed, it allows water to flow into the pipe while preventing the entry of sand and larger debris.
